Having a support system as you prepare for the CPTD exam can have a big impact on your success and we're here for you! 

Central Massachusetts ATD is hosting a study group for current CPTD candidates pursuing certification.

Details

  • This will be a rolling 13-week schedule, where you can join anytime depending on your goal, and just continue.
  • The schedule will repeat every 13 weeks, so join whenever is best for you and your specific goals.
  • We meet on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 9:00 PM over Zoom.

VIRTUAL STUDY GROUP INFORMATION

Who Can Attend?

The study group is open to anyone interested in preparing for the CPTD exam, this includes:

  • Any member of an ATD local Chapter
  • Non-members
  • General public

Cost: $50 USD for non-members and general public, $35 to Central Massachusetts ATD members and chapter affiliates

What To Expect:
The study group sessions are typically structured as follows:

  • 13 weekly sessions focused on the three capability areas
  • The virtual (Zoom) study group sessions are meant to supplement your independent study. The sessions provide a chance to reinforce knowledge through discussion, clarification of key points, shared resources, and key test taking strategies. Each study group session is moderated by one or more facilitators from the CMATD chapter
  • This group is a great way to keep accountable and also get encouragement!
  • Most sessions will count as 1-2 hours of Professional Development towards meeting the certification requirements (announced at the start of each session)
  • Certified CPTDs and experts in the capability areas may be scheduled as guest speakers during an individual study group session. 

Study Materials:

No study materials are provided specifically from this study group.  We are using the Talent Development Body of Knowledge (TDBok) as the group textbook and all members must have access.  If purchasing these resources, please include the code CH1201 which will provide a credit to the Central Massachusetts chapter. Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I participate if I am not an ATD member?

  • Yes, non-members are welcome to join the CPTD virtual study group sessions. The sessions are open to the public from anywhere in the world.  If you are from a time zone that is not conducive to meeting at this time.  We are happy to connect you with others in your geographic region.

Will I have free access to the CPTD Certification Preparation Course to prepare for the exam as a participant of the virtual study group?

  • No, the CPTD Certification Preparation Course is a digital resource purchased from ATD's global organization found here: https://www.td.org/education-courses/cptd-certification-preparation-course. You are responsible for purchasing access to this online program if it fits your study plan. Please remember to use Central Massachusetts ATD's CHiP code, CH1201, when you checkout from the ATD Store.
