Servant Leadership: What’s Old is New Again
with Wendi Braun, MS, CPLP, SRM_SCP
Servant leadership, often attributed to Robert Greenleaf in his 1970 article The Servant as Leader, is a long- standing leadership model used in many organizations with success. Current advocates of servant leadership include Ken Blanchard, Stephen Covey, and Peter Senge, among others. Servant Leadership is a philosophy that seeks to serve first, and from that service, leadership from the heart emerges.
At this CMATD Leadership Development SIG meeting we will:
- learn about the Servant Leadership model including its 10 basic principles
- discuss how is it different from other leadership models
- identify the type of organization and culture where it might fit best
