The Massachusetts Library System is a state-supported non-profit organization that provides a variety of services to our 1,500+ member libraries across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including state-wide materials delivery, mediated interlibrary loan, online resources, consulting, and training. We are looking to hire an Instructional Designer & LMS Administrator. This is a new position that will lead our online training and eLearning efforts, and oversee the operations of our new Moodle learning management system. The Instructional Designer & LMS Administrator will support the creation and delivery of engaging, activity-rich, outcomes focused training to meet the diverse learning needs of library staff across the Commonwealth. The position will lead the Massachusetts Library System’s (MLS) online training and eLearning efforts. The position will administer the day-to-day operations of MLS’s learning management system (Moodle). The position will employ best practices in instructional design and ensure that MLS’s trainings and learning management system are accessible and incorporate the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
