Workforce 2020:  Teaming up with Millennial Leaders

By 2020, Millennials will make up over 40% of the global workforce and over 90% expect to stay in their jobs less than 3 years. This generation has a drastically different view on what they expect from their employment experience. The sheer volume of Millennials combined with the increasing retirement of baby boomers means that employers will be facing a leadership gap. Employers who understand the unique competencies and perspectives that Millennials bring to the workforce will excel at attracting, retaining and developing top talent.

Linda StJohn will facilitate a discussion on the challenges as well as practical strategies for engaging and retaining this new workforce generation.

Generational diversity knowledge will help organizations gain competitive advantage through talent management and leadership.

Attendees will learn about the demographics, stereotypes and facts about the generation that make up the millennials. From a workplace perspective they will learn about millennials style, expectations and needs with a focus on why they are important to business and how to recruit and retain them.

Learn new ways of thinking, leading and managing in an increasingly multi dimensional and multi diversity workforce.

Attendees will be able to:

1. Separate myths from realities in order to strengthen intergenerational teams and develop the next generation of talented leadership.

2. Have an appreciation for what millennials bring to the workplace and have tools to recruit and retain this generation.
